Vindaloo met tranendal

\ voor de pasta:\
\ 40g gedroogde rode pepers\
\ 1 kleine ui\
\ 1 theelepel zwarte peperkorrels\
\ 1,5 theelepel kruidnagels\
\ 7,5 cm kaneelstok\
\ 1 theelepel komijnzaad\
\ 2,5cm verse gemberwortel\
\ 4 eetlepels ruw gehakte knoflook\
\ 1 eetlepel tamarindepulp\
\ 1 eetlepel bruine basterdsuiker\
\ 2 eetlepels witte wijnazijn\
\ \
\ verder:\
\ 100g kip per persoon\
\ 100g rijst per persoon\
\ blusmiddelen (als room, melk, bier, vla)\
\ zakdoekjes om neus mee te snuiten en tranen te deppen.\
\ \

\ Bereiding\
\ \
\ 1. Cover the chillies with plenty of hot water and leave them to soak overnight.\
\ 2. The next day, preheat the oven to 230C/Gas 8.\
\ 3. Place the unpeeled onion on the middle rack of the oven and roast for 1 hour, until the centre is soft and nicely caramelized.\
\ 4. Remove and leave to cool, then peel off the skin.\
\ 5. Drain the chillies, squeeze out the excess water and then roughly chop them. \
\ 6. Put the peppercorns, cloves, cinnamon and cumin seeds into a mortar or spice grinder and grind to a fine powder.\
\ 7. Tip the powder into a food processor and add the roasted onion, chillies, ginger, garlic, tamarind pulp, sugar and vinegar. Blend to a smooth paste.\

\ 8. Bak kip in de curry paste, serveer met rijst.\
\ 9. Als toetje vla om de mond te blussen.\
